** Kanni- A village in Kashmir has been given the name "Kanni-home", which is famous for making kanni shawls from the centuries. The kanni was brought by mogul emperors before centuries and it is going on there by generations to generations

Kalamkari shawls are made of 100% pure Pashmina and made on hand-loom by master weaver which takes him 15 days of time to finish one pc of shawl 100x200 cms 

Then this piece of shawl goes for washing and finishing and one master painter makes traditional design on it.He uses water colours which are permenant does not wash out.It takes him one month time to hand paint one shawl.

Once shawl is painted then it goes for fine hand embroidery work which is done by artisans which are expert in fine hand Aari work.They are using fine quality Silk thread for embroidery so that intricate embroidery can be done neatly.
It takes him one month time to compelete one shawl.

So total process of one shawl is nearly 3 months time and every shawl is different from another.
